**YOUR CHALLENGE**:
CORE
- Build up and maintain an adequate 1LoD risk governance based on the group standards as well as required by local regulation.
- Be responsible for the local development, setup, operation, and maintenance of the bank’s 1LoD Risk Management framework.
- Perform 1LoD controls according to 1LoD control plan with primary focus on the Front teams of BJBE Spain Branch, if required also for further Front Office departments.
- Coordinate and monitor remediation activities and align with supervisor or 2nd Line of Defense (2LoD).
- Analyse (Front-Office) processes from a risk perspective and develop new ideas to mitigate risks and to reduce manual workarounds.
- Train the Front Office teams to ensure adherence to internal processes and regulation.
- Identify significant risks in the Front Office and ensure mitigation or acceptance.
- Prepare and present Front Risk Management (FRM) to Management and / or Risk committees.
- Ensure integration of local activities into the set-up and reporting of FRM as defined by JB Group and BJBE.

ADDTIONAL
- Act as 1LoD representative in change-the-bank and run-the-bank initiatives to cover front risk related topics.
- Proactively support the Front Office as solution oriented Front Risk Manager in the avoidance of risks arising in the day-to-day business.
- Identify awareness and training needs in the Front teams under your responsibility.
- Perform KRI analysis (regular and ad-hoc) and identify risk exposures in your area of responsibility.
- Support the regional and local Management and CRO on thematic and business specific risk reviews.
- Ensure close collaboration and information flow between the 1LoD and the 2LoD.

**YOUR PROFILE**:

- Sound knowledge in regulatory and risk topics (e.g. MiFID II, AML, Fraud, Cross border).
- A min 5-year relevant experience working in a similar role.
- Good knowledge of and experience in financial markets and banking sector, ideally in an international context.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Work on own initiative, take responsibility and solution oriented.
- Strong client and business orientation and ability to think interconnected.
- Excellent MS excel and MS PowerPoint skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Structured working method.

Will be considered as advantage
- Experience in Relationship Management (e.g. Relationship Management Assistant) or Business Management is an added value.
- A Master’s degree in Economics, Finance or other related fields is preferable.
- Further language skills are a benefit.
