**Job brief**:
We are looking for an eloquent, persuasive writer to join our Content Team in creating and promoting proposal content that engages prospects right on page one.

To be successful as a writer within our team, you should be articulate, have excellent written communication and storytelling skills, be able to work seamlessly in collaboration with your immediate Content Team colleagues, as well as with cross-functional teams in sales, product and marketing. You are comfortable with translating complex ideas into easy-to-digest stories that speak directly to our prospects needs.

Especially when working on deadline driven projects, you will need to be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines while delivering with creativity and attention to detail.

Ultimately, you will deliver quality written content that will appeal to our audiences, attract customers, and boost brand awareness.

**Responsibilities**:

- Write engaging sales copy to promote our solutions.
- Transform complex concepts into creative stories across a wide variety of digital platforms and document formats.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Alight as a brand, its key initiatives and strategies/solutions.
- Edit and polish existing content to improve readability within our CMS.
- Attend meetings and identify opportunities for new boilerplate creation.
- Coordinate with designer and analyst to illustrate content in CMS entries, documents, and microsites.
- Identify gaps in our content and recommend new topics.
- Ensure voice consistency.
- Contribute to the content development process for new services with internal content contributors, and create relationships with key stakeholders and SMEs.
- Promote writing best practices particularly on large deals and in supporting the sales and solutions community.
- Promote the team and our content through the creation and distribution of newsletters and informative summary sheets.

**Skills & Abilities**:

- Creative writer and thinker with a passion for storytelling.
- Ability to structure content in a meaningful, easy-to-understand and eye-catching way.
- Proficient in proposal writing.
- Knowledgeable in latest content writing trends, in particular for customer engagement.
- Ability to think out of-the-box and develop creative approaches towards positioning content.
- Ability to tell the same story in different ways for different stages of the bid life cycle.
- Ability to work in a highly dynamic environment, and able to adapt style and approach as necessary.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact/work with immediate content team and other teams at all levels of the organization.

**Requirements**:

- Min. 5 years experience in writing copy.
- Portfolio of published work.
- Experience of conducting research using multiple sources.
- Excellent writing and editing skills in English.
- Creative thinking, problem solving and storytelling skills.
- Show initiative and proactivity and be flexible working in a changing environment with tight deadlines.
- Degree in Marketing, English language, Journalism, Content Strategy or related field, or equivalent work experience.
