Associate Director, Campus Life

Overview:
**Campus Life** is the department at IE University that transmits the institution’s **values and spirit** through **community engagement**. It is the platform for the intangible (ie. values, school spirit, sense of belonging), as well as the tangible student experience projects that go **beyond the classroom**. We help **maximize the student journey at IE** by serving as the **campus nexus**, meaning we **foster connections between staff, faculty, students, alumni, and external partners**. The Campus Life team ensures that the entire community keeps the importance of being engaged top of mind, by seeking out cross-club and cross-program initiatives and taking advantage of the incredibly broad network that IE has to offer.

**Working Towards a ONE Campus Feel (between Segovia, María De Molina, And The Tower Campuses) Under The OWN YOUR EXPERIENCE Strategy For Students**
- Making sure everyone feels a part of the IE community (there is something for everyone, no matter what they interest or passions might be beyond their academic pursuits)
- Each student has the possibility to build their own experience, and the power to shape their unique legacy/blueprint at IE
- IE not only allows students to create their learning journey, but also helps fuel their capacity to do so by providing them with endless resources (hence the importance of community engagement to provide them with the finest presentation of resources)

The primary function of the Associate Director of Campus Life - Student Affairs, is the day-to-day management of the Top Student Clubs and high-level IE Traditions. In parallel, the Associate Director will lead other university projects that help achieve the larger Student Experience objectives.

**Responsibilities**:
**Day-to-day Management and Representation of Campus Life Team**
- Reporting to the Senior Associate Director of Campus Life, the Associate Director will lead the strategy implementation of the Campus Life Department.
- Helping manage the team’s Coordinators and Advisors and helping oversee specific projects each team member is working on.
- Responsible for budget and expenditures of club activities, student clubs and other student initiatives.
- Benchmarking on a regular basis with other top international schools to find either synergies or best practices and measure against current IE initiatives.
- Facilitating project communications between all relevant actors of the IE community (especially between the institutional side - ie. Departments/faculty/alumni/external partners - & student entities - ie. Club Officers/Student Government).
- Leading collaborations with Program Management, Talent & Careers, International Development, Institutional Relations, Alumni, Marketing, Corporate Relations and other IE departments for the dissemination and organization of activities and events.
- Representing the Campus Life Department at fairs, presentations, opening ceremonies and other activities where the presence of a representative of the department is requested.
- Facilitating sponsorship outreach strategy for events & activities.
**Event/initiatives Management**
- Overseeing IE´s annual events in coordination with Student Officers and internal institutional teams: Particularly for the Diversity & Inclusion, Professional, & Tech/Innovation club categories (these events include IE Global Village Day, TechIE, TEDxIEMadrid, Global Innovation Challenge etc.).
- Planning and organizing IE’s annual major institutional events (IE Opening Day, IE Day, IE Community Awards etc).
- Developing and maintaining the IE Partners Program in order to help students’ partners feel a part of the IE Community and enjoy their IE experience.
- Organizing the Club Fairs and overseeing the election process (twice a year).
**Student Clubs And Student Initiatives**
- Managing IE’s Top Student Clubs (and supporting them in organizing events & activities/participating in external competitions/global platforms).
Guaranteeing proper operation of IE Clubs (frequent activity and success of the events).
- Day-to-day management of general student queries or concerns regarding student opportunities within the extracurricular sphere.
**Communication And IT**
- Overseeing the revision and publication of the annual Campus Life Guidebook (continuously updated with newest management protocols) in collaboration with the Coordinators.
- Planning the event and activity communication strategy related to clubs and IE events in collaboration with Communications Director of Student Experience and Campus Life Concept Designer (website, newsletter, Instagram, blog, internal Workplace platform, posters, digital announcement boards, IE Connects, Student Blackboard, etc.).

Qualifications:

- Master's from a top university.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management.
- Team player who enjoys working in a collaborative environment.
