Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or equivalent industrial background
- Demonstrated Engineering experience in an automation, robotics or manufacturing environment
- Fluency in English required. A plus is speaking other EU languages
- Proven experience in AutoCAD to review, develop and maintain layout drawings
- 3D modeling software
- Proven experience developing and testing mechanical, robotics equipment
- Experience with complex projects in operations, processes, or performance improvement
- Experience with full lifecycle and proficiency at completing tasks to meet associated milestones

Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is looking to hire an experienced, innovative, hands-on, and customer-obsessed Sr. Hardware Integration Engineer to lead the design development of new automation technologies to enable scale and associate experience in the field.
This role requires experienced and entrepreneurial minded Engineers with combined robotics, engineering, planning and analytical skills. This individual will own robotics and automation implementation projects end-to-end and will partner with various internal and external stakeholders for integrating reliable and scalable technologies within existing processes.
- Lead overall end-to-end product development cycle, moving through ideation, development, conceptual design, detail design, testing and on-site implementation
- Lead technical design reviews and propose design solutions for robotics, material handling equipment and storage solutions that meet business needs and leverage global design standardization
- Debug and resolve design problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context
- Partner with WW Engineering and OPS team to drive customer (AMZL) requirements for the development of new technolgies
- Understand fundamental mechanical, electrical, controls, software and safety related constraints
- Author technical specification documents with vendors and internal teams for integration into existing processes
- Perform Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) on new technologies
- Review maintainability and operability technology issues during the design phase and propose solutions
- Develop pragmatic solutions, building and/or designing flexible systems without over-engineering
- Define success criteria to validate proof of concepts and move the product to the next step
- Support lessons learnt program for new robotics and automation system to understand improvements needed for next generation design iterations
- Partner with design, controls and reliability and maintainance teams to define the integration plans for MHE automation
- Partner with simulation and data analyst teams to validate new concepts to automate manual processes
- Support commissioning of new robotics and MHE automation installations in partnership with field teams
- Master’s Degree in Engineering or MBA
- Experience in using Modeling, Project Management, CAD and Software programming tools
- Engineering project management experience
- Experience in PLC programming
- Experience with data analysis - SQL (Structured Query Language)
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work in team
- Ability to effectively communicate concepts and write technical documents
