**Accountabilities**:
As the Director, Real World Data (RWD) Strategy and Technology, you will be responsible for driving AZ’s Real World Science data and technology strategy. This includes understanding RWD needs across the enterprise, ensuring due diligence on new data providers/vendors, and providing informatics support for data and technology acquisitions across Therapeutic Areas. You will also develop automation and visualizations from RWD assets to facilitate broad awareness of RWD opportunities and expedite the delivery of real world evidence for external impact.

**Essential Skills/Experience**:

- Experienced with real world data sources as data scientist, analyst, or other hands-on roles: EMR/Health, pharmacy, and insurance claims databases etc; Proficient in data mining approaches with healthcare data
- Ability to contextualize technology solutions’ purpose into real world evidence generation workflow
- Ability to develop a range of options/solutions for efficient and strategic real world data use
- Experience partnering with Information Technology organizations to provision purposeful solutions
- Ability to handle data from variety sources, formats and structures

**Desirable Skills/Experience**:

- Strong background of delivering large, cross functional projects
- Experience working in a global organization and delivering global solutions
- Demonstrated experience building interactive data visualizations using tools such as PowerBI, R Shiny, Plotly, Dash
- Familiarity with knowledge graphs and experience with knowledge management tools
