New Balance are looking for an experienced HR Manager to provide operational and strategic generalist HR support to the Iberia wholesale and retail business with the aim of building a high performing, highly engaged organisation.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide generalist HR support for the wholesale office in Vigo and retail stores in Spain & Portugal
- Develop programmes to enhance employee relations and associate engagement
- Manage recruitment and selection from initial requirement planning through to onboarding in line with company policy and procedures including advertising, shortlisting, interviewing and offers
- Monitor annual leave and working time for all associates
- Upload documents and authorisations on external IT platform for associates working in ECI stores
- Manage the ongoing People Pay Performance process
- Encourage and develop a culture of learning and development
- Ensure learning and development requirements are correctly identified and actioned in relation to business needs (design, develop and lead training programmes for local team where necessary)
- Manage internal communications locally
- Act as a change agent in managing organisational changes
- Ensure competitive and fair compensation levels in line with company C&B strategy and market positioning
- Become a local expert for Workday and ensure appropriate Management Information is available when required
- Provide coaching and training to Line Managers and Associates on people related matters
- Build and maintain effective relationships with wider HR team, local/regional/global stakeholders and external partners
- Champion and co-ordinate community connection and wellbeing activities
- Budget tracking, raising Prior Approvals
- Role model for NB values and behaviours, ambassador for the HR function and able to bring new associates into our culture
- Undertake HR projects as needed
- Improve processes and procedures across the HR function

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in a similar type of and level of role within HR
- Experience of recruitment, Learning & Development, internal communications, employee relations, employee benefits and developing policy and procedure
- Retail experience is desirable
- High level of employment law knowledge in Spain & Portugal
- Comfortable with working in a stand alone HR role in country with support from regional HQ
- Outstanding communication, collaboration, influencing skills at all levels across the business
- Decision maker - solutions focused and takes accountability for decisions made
- Proactive self starter, assertive, resilient and tenacious
- Highest levels of integrity and professional credibility
- Energy, drive, positive outlook and willing to take on new challenges
- Experience of working with a HRIS system - Workday is desirable
- Analytical skills and attention to detail
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office
- Team player
- Willing and able to travel
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Portuguese language skills are desirable but not a requirement for the role
