Retail Marketing Officer

Shimano Iberia is looking for a creative Retail Marketing Officer with an openminded and positive mindset, to join our team in Madrid. In this role you will be responsible for translating the European retail marketing strategy into an annual plan that best suits the Spanish market. You will regulate stocks of promotional material & manage budgets. Whilst also monitoring your market to provide regional insights and contribute to the development of new in-store concepts & tools.

The Challenge
- Execute new product go-to-market plans for the retail channel.
- You will be responsible visiting, connecting, and convincing Retailers.
- Create and monitor the annual retail support plan and budgets.
- Ensure in store promotional materials are in-stock and delivered according to brand guidelines & with budget considerations.
- Advise retail partners and sales colleagues on promotions, merchandising and brand guidelines.
- Support in planning and execution of shows, events & other marketing projects and activities.
- Manage production of merchandising and printed materials like catalogs and pricelists.
- Report on market developments and deliver findings to Shimano Europe HQ.
- Contribute the development of POPs, sales catalogues, and promotional materials.
- Coordinate and monitor CRM activities & manage invoice administration; Involve in continuous improvement and other ad-hoc marketing projects.

What are we looking for?
- Bachelor level education in marketing discipline or equivalent experience; 2-5 years professional marketing experience; preferably in retail.
- A good understanding of retail and experience developing promotional materials.
- An understanding of digital marketing tools, retail/trade marketing & event management.
- Self-starter with energy, drive, and determination to accomplish goals and demonstrated ability to multitask, set priorities, stay focused and set clear milestones.
- Strives for creativity and innovation. Looks to continually improve on past performance and looks for new and better ways to increase store traffic.
- Knowledge of the bicycle market and all related products, through passion or professional experience.
- Enthusiastic, proactive and a strong communicator; Good knowledge of Spanish & English, both verbal and writing
- You will take the extra mile and are able to perform your work independently.
- You should have valid driving license as this role will require some travelling.
