Food Safety Certification Auditor

Local Unit & Position Description:
We are looking for a **Food Safety Auditor** to join our Iberia (Spain and Portugal) unit in a permanent role. The auditor will work in a consolidated and senior food team.

The food sector is a major focus for our certification activities and DNV is highly respected globally in this industry.

Position Qualifications:
**General Functional description**:
Auditor, multi-discipline qualified, matching the highest requirements of industry knowledge with at least five years of experience, with key potential additional responsibilities including training, client management and co-ordination of complex certification projects.

**Main tasks and responsibilities**:

- Lead, organize and deliver specific project activities as industry project management, Customer management assessment, gap analysis, training, workshops
- Provide premium services to selected key customers, including provision of advanced audit activities, liaison with senior management and customer management
- Be responsible of the technical management coordination, including coordination of audit teams, competence and audit team deployment
- One or more of following scheme qualification: BRC, IFS, FSSC, Global Gap. Any other qualification for food safety and ISO standards will be valued.
- Ability to read/interpret audit protocols and work instructions
- Ability to write thorough audit reports both in Spanish and English languages
- Working proficiency in MS Office
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to audiences of varying size, seniority and technical competency
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Able to work independently and in teams
- Analytical, empathetic and able to communicate effectively, respond calmly and make decisions
