Customs Controller

**Description**

SRG Global Liria is looking for a **Customs Controller.**

**What You Will Do In Your Role**:

- HTS classifications with the SRG System
- Customs Documentation recordkeeping responsibilities
- Auditing and following up of import / export shipment customs declarations
- Creating and maintaining SOP with any brokerage company filing customs entries on behalf of Liria and Ibi
- Creating and maintaining internal SOP for International Trade Functions managed internally
- Owner of the approved export location process for the plants
- Provide supplemental Customs training to plant Logistics personnel
- Ownership of MRO importations and documentation into the plants (i.e., Molds)
- Assist value declaration process going forward for new programs
- Monitoring and ensuring spend data is properly bucketed for brokerage spend
- Manage outsourced LTSD process and data inputs that are needed for the service provider such as BOMs and supplier contact information.
- Monitor Spanish Government Customs website to identify and stop Rogue brokerage providers and spend
- Manage non-standard government interactions with Customs (i.e., failure to cancel a T1 timely, or Redlight inspection questions).
- Management of the Supplier chosen to manage Long Term Supplier Declaration requests (LTSD)
- Management of Customer requests and escalations
- Coordination with Supplier on Customer request portals (i.e., BMW, JLR, GM portals that manage LTSD for the OEM’s)

**The Experience You Will Bring**:
**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree. Preferred in International Business/Trade, Logistics or Supply Chain.
- Previous experience in Customs management.
- Knowledge of global import and export regulatory compliance requirements
- Familiar with customs processing trade laws, regulations and latest policy requirements.
- Fluent in English and Spanish. Any other foreign languages are an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
