Engagement Manager

**DESCRIPTION**:
This specific role will support our customers that operate in renewable/alternative power generation, electricity networks and mobility. You will be involved with our customers from ideation and inception, ensuring we understand the business case, through to delivery and enablement of end-to-end solutions and value realisation. In addition, you will mentor and support other consultants to enhance their industry understanding and broaden their consulting skills. There will also be opportunities to extend your experience in other energy domains such as upstream, downstream and mid-stream oil and gas.

The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts that help customers realize their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We work together with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives. Our team provides assistance through a collection of offerings and mechanisms that help customers achieve specific outcomes related to enterprise cloud adoption. We also deliver focused guidance through our global specialty practices, which cover a variety of solutions, technologies and industries.

Key job responsibilities
As an Industry Consultant (Energy Power Backbone) in our Energy & Utilities practice, you will be responsible for:

- Leading business conversations in renewable/alternative power generation, electricity networks and mobility to identify opportunities to transform end to end business processes of our customers
- Support the business to think about their problems in an Amazonian and innovative way driving business outcomes
- Designing and delivering business transformation programs and projects using digital technology
- Using your consulting skills to think big and bridge business requirements with technical solutions, facilitating engineering discussions and ensuring alignment with customer business outcomes
- Supporting the distillation of customer needs into clear business outcomes and helping to convert this into technical requirements
- Building your knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning
- Leading complex team of customer, AWS and partner

**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelors/Master's degree in Business or an Engineering field (preferably related to Energy Management)
- 10 years + of total professional experience, with a minimum of 4 years spent in the Energy industry delivering business change and transformation
- Specific experience in one or more Power Backbone domains including alternative or renewable energy generation, electricity grid and mobility with specific emphasis on improving end to end value chains
- Proven consulting experience in taking projects from ideation, development of the business case, project/programme design, delivery and value realisation
- Fluency in Spanish and English

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Understanding of cloud and certifications (Cloud Practitioner) in AWS
- Experience with energy-specific use cases such as renewable energy forecasting or optimization, power trading and market operations, grid management and optimization, demand response systems
- Core understanding of the capabilities of GEN AI, mathematical optimization and machine learning to support new ways of working in businesses
- Teaching or mentoring industry experience of energy systems to other consultants
- Additional European languages a plus (Portuguese, French, Italian
