Claire's are looking to appoint a Regional Merchandiser/Commercial Analyst to support our store network in Spain.

Working as part of the wider European team, we are ideally seeking a Spanish National or a fluent Spanish speaker who has lived in market.

**The overall purpose of the role includes**:
Drive the Product & Category strategies for Spain to grow and sustain profitability for Claire’s Bricks and Mortar Stores
Provide OTB and Buying Frameworks to the wider organisation for the Spanish region that are reflective of the countries needs
Analyse and interpret category and product performance across the store portfolio in Spain, to drive decision making at a weekly, monthly and seasonal cadence
Trade the Spanish business from a product and category perspective, adapting and evolving in ever changing environments
Feedback to all key internal stakeholders actions needed to drive the Merchandising strategy within Spain
Partner with key regional stakeholders to formulate strategies that are comprehensive and cross-functional

**Key Accountabilities**:
Responsible for the Seasonal Product and Merchandising strategies for Claire’s Brick & Mortar store within Spain
Comprehensively hindsight performance - encompassing category, product, price and market opportunities to drive clear output
Comprehensive understanding of regional nuances within Spain, through both a consumer & strategic lens - utilizing knowledge to make commercial product decisions
Trade the business on a weekly and monthly basis - understand performance, and identify actions to amplify or mitigate risk
Drive category OTB for Global Buying and Merchandising teams to execute against during the seasonal buy
Formulate and use strong analytics to ensure comprehensive decision-making
Partner with Global counterparts to drive a regionally relevant product catalogue
Competitor benchmarking on monthly basis to drive internal awareness, and decision making in order to stay ahead of market trends
Ensure strong in-store execution in conjunction with ISP teams - drive new strategies to maximise the Spanish market
Work closely with Spanish Retail leads to formulate ‘winning’ Claire’s strategies to unlock new growth & fuel existing business
Drive cross-functional end-to-end strategy to help realise Merchandising strategies for the region

**Profile**:
Spanish National living in Spain/or Spanish Speaking with experience of living in the Market
Analytical buying leads from selection Buying backgrounds/or Retail leads with analytical experience
Strong knowledge of the region
High level of commercial acumen
Understands Spanish trends and consumer behaviours, but has the analytical ability to turn into commercial investment decisions
Worked to a high degree with influencing internal stakeholders vs external
Strong foundational merchandising knowledge
Strong excel proficiency
Fluent in English as you will be working with teams based in the UK and North America
