**Scope**:
My client are an R&D and manufacturing FMCG company recruiting for an NPD Scientist based at their site in Guildford. Part of a global group serving the medical, well-being and cosmeceutical markets they formulate bespoke topic al and ingestible products, using high quality ingredients and manufacturing processes.

The NPD department is the point of contact for all technical and regulatory queries both internally and from customers. The scientist will need to be able to quickly and efficiently problem solve whilst maintaining the day to day running of R &D and manufacturing.

**Salary: £30-£35k - Dependent on experience**

**Responsibilities**:
This role has a responsibility for ensuring all work is carried out in a high-quality manner, particularly manufacturing and testing of company owned products as well as Private/White label clients.
- Assist with manufacturing and testing of products
- Multiple R&D project management simultaneously, from conception to full-scale production
- Delegation of project and manufacturing work to juniors/production department
- Liaising with multiple departments for upcoming and ongoing projects
- Management of quality documentation (QMS), batch manufacturing records and stock management system
- Liaising with multiple departments for creation and management of SOPs of entire cleanroom and production facility
- Effectively manage raw material usage and ensure stock levels are maintained at adequate levels
- Creation and management of production schedule
- Certificate of Analysis review and creation
- Identification of new suppliers for procurement of materials
- Ensure equipment is maintained regularly within the lab and cleanroom environment
- Keep up to date with latest changes in regulations and material innovation
- Assist sales team with technical guidance for clients and with meetings where appropriate

**About You**:

- Formulation experience, preferably in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or relevant industry is **essential**:

- HPLC analysis experience is also **essential **as all products are tested in-house for content, purity and contaminants, as well as being sent off site for further testing.
- If you have experience of the CBD industry and/or novel foods regulations this is an advantage.
