Job Description** The Opportunity**: We, at Flywire, are looking for an experienced software engineer to join the Engineering Productivity Team. Your primary responsibility will be the continuous improvement of processes and tools to build an amazing developer experience across Flywire. The Engineering Productivity team is in charge of the internal PaaS ecosystem at Flywire, known as Victoria, that supports the infrastructure to create, build, test, deploy, run and monitor our stack. In This Work, You Will: - Design, build, and maintain Flywire’s internal PaaS ecosystem - Have the opportunity to work across the entire stack ( frontend, backend, cloud infrastructure, etc ) - Contribute to Flywire’s development ecosystem vision - Work closely with members of other internal disciplines such as Security, QA, Support, Analytics or SRE - Support your fellow developers in the use of the ecosystem and advocate for best practices **What’s next in our team?**: - Keep reducing tooling complexity with better abstractions- Keep pursuing full DevSecOps - Driving towards zero-trust networking - Pushing DataOps to the next level Qualifications** What’s next in our team?**: - Pushing SRE practice to the next level - Help development teams to migrate production systems to our new platform - Migration of the data layer to managed services - Keep pursuing full DevSecOps **Here’s What We’re Looking For**: We are aiming to build a multidisciplinary and balanced team based on "t-shaped" individuals. As such we are looking for people comfortable with the idea of being or becoming a generalizing specialist. Although we actively use and support many different platforms and languages, our team primarily uses Ruby, Kotlin and Golang for our tooling. Experience with any of these languages along with testing techniques such as TDD or BDD is needed. Also some knowledge or experience with the container ecosystem, cloud infrastructure, build systems and CI/CD tools will be highly valuable. Having a continuous improvement mindset and a strong sense of ownership is key for being successful at this role. Your stakeholders will be your own fellow developers, more than 100 actually, so you will need to have strong communication and collaboration skills, and most importantly, empathy.
