**Department**: Service Delivery Central Services (Network Provisioning and Configuration), part of Service Delivery.

Purpose of job:
This is a small team environment where you will be expected to work with a minimum of supervision to configure the network, co-operating with field technicians, on a regular pattern which may cover extended working hours and planned works in non-business hours.

As a reference the key responsibilites of the role can be split and developed in two major areas of influence

Main functions:
1 - From the Network configuration perspective:

- To configure TX services remotely (by means of the corresponding Network Management Systems (NMS))
- Configuration of Ethernet Services defined in the COLT portfolio including services such as Lanlink Point to point, Hub & Spoke architectures, Ethernet Private Networks (EPN) in the associated management systems.
- Configuration of transmission circuits of Internet Access Lines (IPA) and VPN Access Lines.
- Support tasks in the Dismantling of the COLT SDH Network if required under the scope of the SDH End Of Life Project
- Management and configuration of Demarcation Devices associated to 3rd party lines services such as Overture and Accedian.
- Configuration and test of HSS (High Speed Services ) Private Wave projects.
- To support field technicians (either from COLT or Third Party Maintainers (TPMs)) on site, helping them until the services are installed and tested.
- To liaise with INCC for international services, and India Planning and Configuration Areas for partially or totally off-shored tasks.
- To prepare, schedule and execute planned works both in and out of business hours, in touch with field technicians/the customer/both.
- To test OLO (Other Licensed Operator) lines in hands with OLO technicians when required.
- To proccess requests basically for High Speed Services - WDM.
- To provide support and help to Sales and Presales teams on requests for special solutions and bespoke implementation.
- To provide support and help to Engineering and Capacity teams for the launching of new products and the handover of new network elements.

2 - From the Provisioning perspective:

- To process both customer and internal orders through the variety of order processing systems within COLT, basically Siebel and XTRAC workflow system asigned queues.
- To approve and provision (plan) TX services within the Network Inventory System (XNG).
- To create, dimension and document COLT and customer cabinets when required.
- To document Carrier House longlinings and cablings when required.
- To identify and raise Equipment Requisition Orders (SAP).
- Knowledge of the basis of the Netcracker Resource and Service inventory system.

Academic profile:

- Bachelor in Engineer of Telecomunications is desirable.
- Degree in Telecoms Technology is Mandatory.
- Accreditive Certified by manufacture of Telecom and IP Networks would be taking into account.

Languages:

- Native Spanish.
- High English level - C2, both written and spoken.

Technical knowledge:

- COLT supporting technologies:

- Ethernet and the associated management systems: MSP-NSN/Aspen Mgmt System; Modular MSP/Blue Planet Operate, Ethernet First Mile/Actelis.
- Netcracker documentation and configuration system based services
- PDH, SDH/Nokia NMS-100, MV, EMOS management systems, IP, VPN, MPLS, xDSL, FTTH GOPN, SDWAN, SDN-NFV, etc.
- DWDM technologies: ADVA & CIENA
- COLT supporting vendors and their NMS platforms: NOKIA, MARCONI, LUCENT, NORTEL, CISCO, Overture, Accedian, ADVA, Ciena, etc. Netcracker documentation and configuration system based services.
- Windows / MSOffice at user level.

Non-technical skills:

- Customer oriented (both external and internally).
- Ability to work within a team, but having high levels of autonomy and responsibility.
- Flexibility and availability to work on regular patterns -sometimes overloaded
- and cover planned works.
- Keen to work in an rotatory on call regime
