Automation Engineer

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Collect the latest automation software backups (PLC, SCADA, VFD, etc.) and prepare a technical specification for request for quotation related to the field of electrical engineering and automation.
- Support all the potential suppliers during filed visits and scope definition. Participate to design work at all stages of the automation modernization project. Check the project and assembly documentation.
- Installation supervision and commissioning work on the project for the modernization of the instrumentation, control system and MCC upgrade.Supervision of commissioning and final acceptance.
- Guaranty the process and installation safety. Be responsible of the management of change procedures. Develop and keep updated cause and effect matrix based on existing software with process engineer.
- Eliminate defects and errors with product and software development. Collaborate with other business units (Operations, IT, Industry 4.0, etc.). Contract and third-party management.
- Definitions related to the infrastructure and architecture of networks together with other areas of the company, aiming at the segregation between IT and OT networks.
- Integration and data communication between the most diverse layers of the network, following applicable cybersecurity protocols.
- Support in defining wireless OT network and communication protocols needed to ensure connectivity.
- Interaction with process historians, enabling communications and data for deeper analysis. Interaction with different communication protocols (Profibus, OPC UA and DA, Profinet, etc.).

**Education / Skills**:

- Background: Engineering, Electrical, Automation, Computer Science, or similar field.
- +/- 3 years of experience as an automation engineer or automation project engineer preferably in oilseed industry or oil & gas industry.
- Fluent in Spanish and advanced English.
- Availability for non-frequently travels.
- Solid understanding of computer programming and software development
