We are looking for a **Junior Data Engineer **passionate for algorithmics and data management applied in Big Data for joining a young and dynamic company in an expansion phase. You will take part in an experienced technical team, dealing with massive amounts of data. The applicant must be thrilled by problem-solving, eager to learn and always trying to come up with the most ingenious solution.

A typical day may consist of
- Developing systems and algorithms where the efficiency is a requirement rather than an option due to the data volume.
- Understand analyze and design complex systems right sized to the needs of scale.
- Developing and improving data solutions for a specific purpose.
- Solving new problems with original and effective solutions.
- Coming up with creative data visualizations and dashboards.

**Company Description**:
After working with automotive brands, retailers, and big venues operators to datify the physical in-store customer experience to the level of an e-commerce store, our current challenge is to bring all this information to the world of **Corporate Spaces **with our new product **WiTrace **while using our base technology.

In the era of hybrid working and job hopping, understanding the real utilization of buildings and offices spaces is key to ensure employee wellness, operational efficiency, and Real Estate optimization.

The company was founded in 2014 and we have validated the product-market-fit with notable clients such as Nissan, Mango, La Roca Village, FC Barcelona, Bicester Village, KIA, Hyundai, and SEAT.

After more than 7 years of presence in the market, we are monitoring more than 1000 spaces, processing more than 300 million daily records of mobile devices (smartphones), which give rise to more than 4 million visitor records and represent estimated traffic of +11 million people.

At this stage the company is looking for talent to build a data driven product with a clear objective of international expansion, as done previously in the automotive and retail sectors.

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Data Science or related.
- Excellent programming skills (preferably in Python).
- Relational and non-relational database usage skills.
- Ability to analyze and characterize complex problems.
- Highly motivated, self-driven and curious. Ability to take ownership of tasks and drive through them.

**Preferred skills (not a must, but part of your day to day)**:

- Experience with Python.
- Comfortable and experience with object-oriented programming.
- Interest in servers/cloud and operative systems management. We mainly work with AWS.
- Knowledge of data science toolkits such as Pandas, NumPy, SciPy or similar.
- Code version control tools such as Git.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas and solutions to non-technical audiences.
