**Main Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Cloud Design and Development (70%)
- Demonstrate knowledge of cloud architecture and implementation features. (OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, elastic scalability)
- Demonstrate knowledge of DevOps tool chains and processes.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert to the organization for cloud end-to-end architecture, including AWS and future providers, networking, provisioning, and management.
- Demonstrate leadership ability to back decisions with research and the “why,” and articulate several options, the pros and cons for each, and a recommendation.
- Maintain overall industry knowledge on latest trends, technology, etc.
- Develop solutions architecture and evaluate architectural alternatives for private, public and hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud services.
- Contribute to DevOps development activities and complex development tasks.
- Demonstrate Knowledge of key cloud security standards (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO, CSA STAR).
- Demonstrate Knowledge of good industry practice in tiered security architecture design.
- Demonstrate Ability to document reference architectures, network schematics, blueprints, patterns, and other types of architectural documentation.
- Creating or securing cloud solutions for some of the following cloud / cloud security technologies for Infrastructure, Application and Data (i.e. IAM, SIEM, DLP).
- Consultation (30%)
- Provide thought leadership in industry and to fellow team members across business and technical project dimensions solving complex business requirements.
- Demonstrate forward thinking around where the organization is going and how technology can support these efforts.
- Advocate and define cloud architecture vision from a strategic perspective, including internal and external platforms, tools, and systems.
- Lead the definition and development of cloud reference architecture and management systems.
- Providing security review of network and system architecture designs.
- Operating as an IT security architect within complex projects or solution design
**Requirements needed**
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional or equivalent.
- Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent.
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Well-developed communication and presentations skills.
Experience
- Experience as a team lead preferred.
- Experience with AWS, Azure and VMWare enterprise implementations.
- Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments.
- Knowledge of all components of a technical architecture.
- Knowledge of business process re-engineering principles and processes.
- Strong understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), object-oriented analysis and design, and/or client/server systems.
- Familiarity with industry compliance and security standards including PCI DSS, SOC-1&2, ISO 27001, GDPR.
