We are searching for a FPGA/ Firmware Engineer to support our team within the Timing and Frequency Division (Navigation), based within our Harwell Office within the UK or within our office in Tres Cantos, Spain

**WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?**

You will join our multidisciplinary Time and Frequency team and will focus your work in the implementation, generation, verification and maintenance of the FPGA code used within the different products owned by the division.

In this role you will:

- Digital systems development on FPGA
- Validation and verification of the FPGA implementation
- Support on simulations and debugging
- Maintain and generate updates of firmware versions
- Support to the embedded software team for integration of FPGA with micro-controllers

**WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?**

We are looking for a **FPGA/Firmware Engineer who has the following**:
**Minimum Requirements**:

- BSc degree in Telecommunications or Computers engineer or similar degree in Engineering or in Msc. in Sciences
- 3 - 4+ years of professional industry experience
- FPGA programming skills (VHDL, Verilog)
- Experience with Xilinx (Vivado)
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, SPI, I2C, UART
- Synchronization signals knowledge
- Programing skills in C, C++ and Python

**How You Can Stand Out**
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:

- Knowledge of Synchronization and timing protocols
- Knowledge and experience in Embedded Real Time Systems
- Knowledge and experience in cross-compilation toolchains for different platforms such as ARM assembly
- Knowledge and experience in UIO and/or device tree (DTB)
- Experience in continuous integration with Gitlab and Docker
- In-depth experience with repositories and version control (Git, SVN,...).
