Position Summary:
Responsibilities to include:
- Assigning, reviewing and monitoring credit ratings. This includes formulating rating opinions and writing interesting and relevant topical research.
- Participating in the development of rating methodologies.
- Developing and maintaining analytical tools and reports for internal and external use.
- Keeping track of institutional, political, geopolitical and economic developments that impact public sector issuers.
- Meeting with issuers, investors and other market participants as required to discuss DBRS Morningstar’s Ratings and research messaging.
Qualifications:
- University degree in accounting, business, economics or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5-7 years’ work experience, preferably in public sector credit analysis.
- Attention to detail in written and data work.
- Excellent written and oral English language skills.
- Spoken Spanish essential, French a bonus.
