As an Assistant Chemist at Metropolitan’s Water Quality Lab you will: conduct routine chemical, physical and microbiological tests; assist and interpret data related to water quality; prepare reports; collect and test water samples; enter sample test results into LIMS; and prepare reagents and standards.

You will work independently under the direct supervision of the Treatment Plant Laboratory Team Manager and maintain close working relationships with personnel in Water Treatment and Water Quality sections.

**EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education and Experience**:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.

**Related field is defined as**:Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Microbiology, Environmental Sciences.
