**EU Finance Manager**

As the Finance Manager for the EU region at Sporty, you will be responsible for supporting our growth ambitions and verticals expansion. Reporting to the International Finance Director, you will be responsible for the financial management of the region, ensuring strong processes and controls, and scaling financial operations. In this role you will have a real impact on the business, helping to shape its future direction and success.

We're looking for a results-driven individual who is motivated by success and passionate about operational finance, you must be committed to staying at the forefront of industry trends, and building a competitive advantage through intelligent finance and operational excellence.

**Responsibilities**
- Own the end to end finance function in the EU. You will be the first finance team member in the region, and may be expected to identify additional financial resource requirements.
- Design, implement and own all financial processes and controls. Constantly review and refine these to ensure they operate at optimal levels.
- Utilise technology and external services to modernise the way the finance function is delivered. Do not do things simply because that is the way they have always been done.
- Embed yourself within the operations of the business and develop a culture of decision making through the use of financial data and analysis.
- Create accurate, well-considered and business owned budgets. Identify trends and generate detailed financial and operational projections in order to develop reliable P&L and cash flow estimates.
- Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-effective opportunities to manage the Company’s day to day operations.
- Stay up to date and ensure full compliance with local audit, legal, tax, secretarial and other legislation.
- Provide valuable, relevant, timely and business focused financial reporting, performed both on a periodic and ad hoc basis.

**Required skills/Qualifications**
- Fluent in Spanish and English, and confident to communicate in both written and verbal formats.
- Qualified Accountant with 10+ years experience, and 5+ years in Media.
- A self starter who works hard, makes decisions quickly and operates with urgency.
- Has a startup mindset, willing to get their hands dirty.
- Type A personality who thrives in a fast paced environment.
- Prefers a flat organisational structure, to engage with all levels of employees, and collaborate with a variety of different company functions.
