**We are now looking to grow our financial team in Madrid**
The Cash & Bank (C&B) team is looking for an Accountant to join their team. The role is situated in the Volvo Cars offices in Madrid, in the direct vicinity of the Santiago Bernabéu football stadium. The office is a shared location between the Spanish National Sales company, the Global People Experience team, Customer Experience Services and Global Finance Delivery. Currently, we are around 300 employees working in the Madrid office.

**What you’ll do**
As C&B Accountant in Global Accounting Center, you are part of the Global Accounting Delivery part of the Global Finance Operations organisation. You will report to the Cash & Bank Manager.

The different teams in the Global Finance Operations are responsible for reporting and analyzing the actuals as well as reporting, consolidating, and analyzing forecasts and Business Plans for all financial information including profit, cash flow, balance sheet, investments, and cost control. The processes for this are developed in close cooperation with the Business controllers in the functions as well as with the Group Finance function.

The main purpose of the C&B Accountant is to monitor daily banking activities from the accounting perspective as well as the bank operational tasks. Amongst others, your daily tasks will be Monitor cash pools within The Group entities, execution and posting of manual payments to third parties and bank account reconciliations.

Belonging to the Global Accounting Center also means to be involved in Month End closings, performing Bank and Intercompany Loan reconciliations. Ensuring all bank entries are properly posted into our ERPs so we deliver high quality service and advice to our internal custumers that are the different Volvo entities we provide service to.

Given the current transformation that Volvo is experiencing, you will have IT skills that will lead you to coordinate IT projects
- Assess process areas which would benefit from Robotics/Digitalization
- Keep the processes compliant with Internal Control requirements

**Who are you**
You have a degree in Finance or equivalent and 2-3 years experience in a similar role. Your English level is high in both written and oral communication. You are an open minded team player, curious of better ways for doing things. Ability to plan and prioritize having a positive mindset will always be a plus You have preferably been working with SAP FICO and Excel.
