GENERAL SUMMARY:
The process engineer is responsible for monitoring the day-to-day operations of the plants and for
defining/recommending/implementing safety and productivity improvements.
The Process Engineer reports directly to the Plant Manager, and works very closely with
Production, Safety and Maintenance Managers.
POSITION:
As a Process Engineer, after an appropriate training, you take care mostly of the following
activities:

- Performs day-to-day monitoring, validation (TECO) and troubleshooting of the production to

ensure that productivity and efficiency are maximized. Identify problems, analyze root

causes, recommends and/or implement solutions (process parameters, equipment

upgrade, new equipment definition).
- Defines and optimize the settings for the first order (in collaboration with the R&D when

appropriate).
- Participate to or lead the selection and implementation of new production equipment

(equipment definition, trial at supplier, commissioning, operator training, troubleshooting )
- Maintains and develops IT tools used in production (SAP, MES).
- Works closely with others department such as development, quality control, planning and

maintenance.
- Performs various kinds of audit (Safety, ISO9001, ISO14001, GMP, APEX).
- Assures regular training of the production team

Desired Skills and Experience
- Demonstrate high level of analytical ability, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interface with all levels of personnel.
- Good sense of urgency and priorities.
- Conscientious, structured and organized.
- Demonstrated ability in project management skills.
- Good knowledge of Spanish and English, Catalan is a plus.
