**Job Description** HSE coordinator for Wind and/or Solar projects**- Energy Global Business Area**

**Overview**

As our new HSE coordinator for Wind and/or Solar projects, you will be part of our Development team within the Energy Global Business Area.

Ramboll is providing support services for a portfolio of wind and/or solar PV projects are at various stages of development and construction and therefore a competent HSE coordinator capable to provide support across the full project life cycle in needed. As HSE coordinator, you will support the Clients’ HSE managers for EMEA across multiple projects, mostly wind and/or solar PV projects. You will also perform Health, Safety and Environmental audits ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices and carry out visual inspections of the project sites to ensure practical implementation. You will also support in shaping and enhancing service deliverables. Leveraging your expertise in the field of HSE within renewable energy, you will contribute to the creation of a crisis management plan.

In addition, the HSE coordinator will carry out visual inspections of the different Contractors project sites to ensure practical implementation of the Safety Management Systems are in place and effective, therefore, geographical mobility for site visits will be required.

**Your tasks and responsibilities**
- Monitor the management and coordination of project health, safety, and environment activities,
- Ensure that the Clients’ safety policy and objectives, the procedures and plans are known to all project members and subcontractors and monitoring that these plans are adhered to in practice,
- Support in preparation of Project HSE requirements, HSE plans and supporting documents,
- Advise project management and related departments on site in HSE matters,
- Conduct regular on site HSE surveillance ensuring that contractors operate inline with client requirements, local regulations and international best practice.
- Participate and/or lead HSE related Incident Investigations, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
- Set the tone for health, safety, and environment, raising awareness, and helping to deliver on objectives,
- Conduct a review of HSE related documentation such as Contractors HSE plans, Emergency Response plans, RAMS etc,
- Prepare high-quality reports for both internal and external use,
- Prepare and deliver on site HSE training to contractors and employees,
- Participate and/or lead HSE Audits,
- Take the initiative towards the continuous improvement of safety awareness and safety culture within the project and stimulating the project management to take responsibility in this.
- Participate in development a Crisis Management Plan
- Track project HSE key performance indicators (KPIs) and present regular reports

**Your qualifications**

The HSE Coordinator will set and drive the strategic direction for HSE and will ensure compliance with international regulations and client requirements while implementing best practices and promoting continuous improvements.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, IEMA, CQI, or equivalent are highly desirable
- Extensive experience in an HSEQ leadership role within Transport, Infrastructure, or consultancy
- Strong experience in site surveillance and monitoring of wind and/or Solar PV site construction work
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards (45001, 14001, 9001), OSHA
