**BANKING BUSINESS ANALYST**
The Business Analyst will work closely with the business teams to drive out a set of requirements that can then be taken up by the designer and developer teams for execution.
The business analyst must ensure they understand the business outcome and benefits case and be aware of the current technology platforms in Hadoop, HDFS as well as new cloud platforms in AWS.
The role holder will need to be functionally aware of the business areas they are working with and have enough technical skill to be able to map these to the types of models and data frameworks that can support the business strategies around our data assets.
This will require excellent communication skills, functional awareness and a strong analytical capability.
JOB RESPONSBILITIES / ROLE
- Complete the analysis of business requirements working closely with SMEs and complete an aligned functional requirement covering tooling, platforms, data models, propensity models, analytical models and business and personal insights
- Ensure functional designs align to business outcomes and benefits cases. They should also understand how they fit with the wider data programs and current landscape.
- Ensure designs prevent repetition of known issues/ risks and share knowledge of lessons learned.
- Proactively suggest areas for further analysis. The designs should improvements to data processes, focusing on their value to business strategy and operations

MANDATORY SKILLS:
- Good experience in Banking Domain
- Act as bridge between business users and technical team
- Take the functional requirement from business and translate same in technical form for developers
- Good knowledge of SQL.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English - level C1
