**Job Description**:
YouGov’s data helps thousands of commercial, cultural, and political organisations understand their customers, run brilliant campaigns, and make better strategic decisions. We have 20+ years of the most exciting, connected data on the planet - every day we’re learning more about what the world thinks. We capture opinions and attitudes about everything from the Superbowl to Star Wars, from shampoo to social media.
We’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst to help us understand more about the people who trust us with their data - our 17 million strong global panel. If you’re a curious, commercially-minded, and creative problem-solver, who’s part data storyteller and part data wrangler, we want to speak to you.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Analysis - You’re passionate about data, and the value it can unlock. You’ll be comfortable interrogating large, cross-product data sets to uncover insights. You’ll build ETL pipelines, dashboards, reports, and run ad-hoc queries to answer burning questions.
- Technical - You’ve got the technical chops to understand how systems fit together, and the challenges this can cause. You’ll be a resourceful and creative problem-solver, willing to persevere to get a solution.
- Process - You’re committed to quality, but also to shipping early and often. You know that the best report is one that’s used, and you embrace an agile approach to delivery. You’ll be keen to deliver value quickly.
- Culture - You’ll contribute to the wider data team, peer reviewing scripts, ETL pipelines and helping to embed a data-driven culture across YouGov.
**Qualifications**:
- ** Data-powered.**
You'll have excellent data interrogation and analysis skills, using qualitative or quantitative data, to guide planning and prioritisation. SQL fluency is a must, and experience with Snowflake is a real bonus. If you’ve worked with Google Analytics data, this helps too.
- ** Experienced.**
5+ years experience on an Agile/lean team, with a mixture of internal BI/MI and product or data engineering preferred. You’ve built reports and dashboards before, and know when each is appropriate. We use Power BI, so skills here will help.
- ** Problem solver.**
You'll enjoy zooming in to the detail, and out to the big picture, sometimes within the same 10 minutes.
