This role is a hybrid position and will require 3 days per week in our Barcelona office.

Your First 90 Days
Within your first few weeks you will established position within tax team, know the stakeholders, what types of questions we’re dealing with, and will review some of the work delivered by other Business Analyst's to get an understanding of the process and tasks. 60 days in and you should will be able to deliver solutions using similar work delivered by business analysts these tasks won't be copy and paste but will follow closely to previous scenarios. After 90 days you should fully independent there will still be learning and development that you will undertake and requiring active guidance.

Responsabilidades principales

Key Responsibilities
Offering compliant solutions for worldwide tax determination, calculation, and reporting (focused on indirect taxes).
Defining solutions within accounting software and processes.
Deconstructing functionality into APIs, ensuring a deep understanding of backend services and how they differ from UI flows.
Designing reporting user journeys that leverage a predefined library of components and patterns.
Defining and enforcing standards that drive consistency across compliance platform implementations.
Simplifying solutions, removing unnecessary complexity where possible.
Communicating clearly and effectively, both verbally and in written documentation, bridging gaps between business and technical teams.
Ensuring compliance with UX standards, aligning with broader company guidelines.
Addressing technical aspects of API design, including security and performance.
Monitoring regulatory compliance changes and translating them into software requirements.
Conducting business problem analysis, defining high-level solutions, and ensuring proper documentation.
Collaborating on systems architecture and overall platform design.
Writing and maintaining user stories and API designs (OpenAPI-compliant).
Creating ad-hoc documents, diagrams, and onboarding materials for third-party integrations.

Key Skills and know how
Accounting experience how accountants work - preferred
Prior experience as BA or designer - essential
API knowledge - essential.
English Spealing - essential
