Our client, a world-renowned organisation operating in a highly specialised niche within the construction industry, is seeking a **Sustainability Expert** to spearhead critical initiatives aligned with their ambitious **Zero Emissions** and long-term **decarbonisation** goals.

**Your Mission**

As Sustainability Expert, you will:

- Implement and support the company’s global sustainability strategy.
- Lead key international projects focused on CO₂ reduction, biodiversity, and environmental impact mitigation.
- Monitor and analyse emerging trends in sustainability relevant to the construction sector.
- Act as a strategic advisor to global sales subsidiaries, production plants, and project teams.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure sustainability initiatives support competitiveness and long-term business success.
- Prepare high-level reports and executive briefings for the Managing Board.

**What You’ll Bring**
- A degree in economics, engineering, natural sciences, or a related field with a focus on sustainability.
- Substantial Construction or Engineering Industry experience
- Proven experience in project management—preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of sustainable technologies (e.g., photovoltaic systems) and frameworks such as the **Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)**.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to align sustainability objectives with broader business goals.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across diverse cultural and functional environments.
- Fluency in English and flexibility for regular international travel.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools.
- EU citizenship or the right to live and work in the EU.
- **Your CV should demonstrate examples of your previous successes/achievements re CO₂ reduction, biodiversity, and environmental impact mitigation.**

**You’ll Work With**

Internally: Global market units, Managing Directors, Controlling, Operations, and Facility Management teams.

Externally: Sustainability consultants, suppliers, and key international customers.The role is based at the company’s offices in Algete, on the outskirts of Madrid, with frequent travel across European locations and opportunities to contribute globally.
