Farm Manager

**Function**:
**Main Goal**:
The main goal of the **Farm Manager** role is to coordinate and oversee all agricultural activities related to tomato, pepper, and cucumber hybrids and lines, both at Hazera’s Almería stations and at external grower sites. This includes ensuring safe working conditions, high phytosanitary standards, quality technical execution by the technicians, and close alignment with the breeding and seed production teams.

**Job description**:
The Farm Manager will be responsible for:

- Coordinating local and external farm operations in Almería.
- Supervising and guiding technicians in greenhouse plant production.
- Supporting the execution of R&D trials and managing seed shipments to other locations.
- Ensuring safe working conditions and phytosanitary compliance.
- Overseeing the planning and implementation of tasks in coordination with breeders and growers.
- Acting as the phytosanitary and safety manager on site.

**What we expect of you**:

- Manage hybrid and line cultivation for tomato, pepper, and cucumber.
- Support seed production activities in collaboration with the breeding team.
- Supervise and validate the quality of technical work in the greenhouse.
- Demonstrate strong planning and attention to detail.
- Ensure activities are conducted safely and within phytosanitary standards.
- Collect and analyze data from trials, and recommend next steps.
- Collaborate with breeders on progress updates and tracking.
- Report on seasonal progress and propose solutions for any issues.
- Train and guide the team in best practices, use of equipment, and performance monitoring.
- Serve as both the safety and phytosanitary trustee.
