The mission of BSC is to research, develop and manage information technologies in order to facilitate scientific progress. BSC combines HPC service provision and R&D into both computer and computational science (life, earth and engineering sciences) under one roof, and currently has over 1000 staff from 60 countries.

**Context And Mission**
- We are looking for a Talent Manager (she/he/they) to lead the Talent Unit at Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS). Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, the Talent Manager will oversee the strategic and operational activities of the team, currently composed of four professionals. The Talent Unit focuses on three main areas: Recruitment, Training, and Career Development. This role will be pivotal in ensuring the alignment of talent strategies with BSC’s mission and organizational goals, fostering a dynamic, inclusive, and high-performing work environment.
**Key Duties**
- Unit management:
- Leadership of the Talent Unit, ensuring effective coordination of the Recruitment, Training, and Career Development activities.
- Develop and implement the Talent Unit’s strategy in alignment with the overall HR and institutional goals.
- Act as an advisor to the HR Director of HR on talent-related matters.
- Establish and maintain a solid HR analytics framework to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of the implemented strategies and initiatives regarding Talent.
- Recruitment
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes, ensuring high-quality and timely hiring for scientific, technical, and administrative roles.
- Drive employer branding initiatives to attract top talent, positioning BSC as an employer of choice.
- Ensure compliance with OTM-R (Open, Transparent, and Merit-Based Recruitment) principles in all hiring processes.
- Training
- Coordinate the design and implementation of the annual Training Plan, including training needs analysis, budget management, and activity organization.
- Promote innovative training initiatives to support the professional growth of BSC employees, in line with other internal stakeholders.
- Organize internal training sessions, drawing on expertise from BSC departments, to support continuous learning.
- Monitor and report on training effectiveness and impact.
- Career Development
- Develop and implement career development frameworks, including performance appraisals, talent reviews, and succession planning.
- Coordinate professional development programs tailored to staff needs, emphasizing integration and internationalization.
- Partner with team leaders and employees to identify growth opportunities and career paths.
- Collaborate with other HR Units, such as Personnel Administration, Mobility, and DEI, to ensure a cohesive approach to HR management.
**Requirements**:
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in Talent management, with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
- Proven experience in international recruitment, employer branding, training design, and career development programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication (Spanish, Catalan and English).
- Experience in HR within research or academic institutions.
- Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
- Experience in an international and multi-cultural environment will be valued.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience in the Spanish public sector.
