**Proposito del puesto**
- The Product Manager Core servicing the Wind, Marine, Industrial BUs, is responsible for the product portfolio management, the product life cycle management, the product features and functionalities, the cost and economic control, product benchmarks, market intelligence and the product launch plan and time to market management on a global basis.
**Descripción**
- To translate future and changing market demand into product specification to ensure innovative product and service offerings with sufficient USP’s, competitive cost and respective product programs and business plans exist.
To plan and tightly monitor execution of strategic and tactical product plans to position product group for all defined end-user markets.
To ensure that the core product group meets technical, quality, commercial and supply chain aspects of target markets and support the global sales organization with the respective marketing tools and closely monitor the adherence to the business plans in the daily operations (Pricing, Positioning, Promotion ).
**Responsabilidades principales**
- Product Portfolio & Strategy:
- Contribute to the Core Product Portfolio strategy by conducting competitor analysis studies and product benchmarks, consolidating market intelligence from Wind, Marine and Industrial sectors, analyzing customer base strategies thereby defining Gurit’s product USP’s.
- Support product roadmap and engage with industry actors aiming at identifying or qualifying business opportunities
New Product Development (NPD)
- Support new business activities ensuring cross-functional coordination and keeping focus on customer, revenue growth and profitability.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders about market needs, translate market demands into product specifications. Monitor potential changes to a defined scope throughout the NPD process.
- Develop, analyse and qualify product development business cases including investments, profitability, payback, positioning and pricing.
- Ensure smooth and correct product launch with Global Sales Organization and Marketing
- Lead activities related to certification bodies.
Life Cycle Management (LCM):
- Manage product life cycle of Core products. Lead the product Change Management Process (CMP), intended to streamline all product cost down initiatives.
- Define pricing strategies for the Core product range and target markets in collaboration with Regional Sales Organization
- Develop, create, and maintain technical literature, promotional literature, product guides, training literature and presentation for the portfolio of Core products.
- Complaint Management: be part and support on problem-solving activities for both customer and internal non-conformities.
Product Profitability:
- Product Cost Management: define together with Finance best practices on product cost management, from definition to control.
- Propose and steer initiatives to keep product profitability within target thereby extending its lifecycle.
- Identify products that are not contributing to the business in sales or margin contribution and rationalise the product group where necessary in collaboration with Regional Sales Organizations.
**Competencias y experiência**
- Strong business & product technology background with affinity to business and technical aspects of our industry.
- A good grasp of the technologies for manufacturing and using core across the BU market sectors (current & future).
- Strong program and project management skills.
- +7 years’ experience Product Management role or similar roles (Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Technical Support) in an international environment (essential) related to composites and core.
