Hw Engineer

Our Assisted and Automated Driving Development team in Spain, that develops various software modules and new technologies to enhance the driving experience whilst working towards the goal of autonomous driving, is currently seeking a:
**HARDWARE ENGINEER (M/F/d).**

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure Hardware meets JLR requirements.
- Reviewing and Approving Test Plans and Results.
- TRM, DOORs, RTC and Compliance Matrix Management and Status reporting.
- Provide process and technical support to HIL team (With hardware perspective).
- Lead failure investigation analysis of current production and development ECUs.
- Manage ECU delivery to each production build milestone.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive evidence record.
- Reviewing and approving supplier design analysis of electronic circuits, PCB layout and mechanical design. Support technical discussions and problem solving within the HW domain.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

**Essential**:

- Preferably Degree in Electronics or similar.
- Demonstrated experience in PCBA Design (HW requirements, HW arch; HW Sch, BOM analysis, HW layout).
- Understanding of systems analysis and HW verification/validation.
- Understanding of HW manufacturing (PCB/PCBA/Mechatronics). Design for manufacturability.
- Worst Case Circuit Analysis and circuit simulation basics (thermal analysis, LTSPICE).
- EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) design-oriented knowledge and desirable experience during development programs.
- Knowledge of different vehicle physical communication interfaces (Ie. CAN, SPI, Flexray, AE ).
- Knowledge of various electrical sensors (Analogue and Digital).
- Experience of mass production hardware development and delivery through all stages of the engineering development V cycle, from requirements to validation.
- Experience in Automotive Engineering Delivery and in solving complex technical issues using a structured approach.
- Component and system level issue investigations including appropriate problem solving and reporting tools (Six Sigma, 8D, Is / Is Not, Fault Tree etc).
- HW reliability basic knowledge. Experience of safety critical systems including standards such as ISO26262, IEC61508 or similar. HW metrics, FMEDA, FTA analysis.
- An individual with the ability to challenge existing thinking in a positive way whilst building credibility and trust through experience and personal style.
- Teamwork mindset.

**Desirable**:

- In-circuit Test development & test automation basics. Design for test.
- Knowledge of data logging and analysis.
- Hight Speed and High Integration Density design experience.
- Experience in thermal HW simulation.
- Experience in Signal and Power Integrity simulation.
- Experience integrating High performance SOCs, 32,16 and 8bits microcontrollers; Experience with Infineon Aurix, MPC55xx, HCS08 would be an advantage.
- Knowledge in using test equipment including, but not limited to, Canalyzer, Canape, oscilloscope, digital logic analyser, spectrum analyser and other test equipment.
- Experience in toolsets for requirements and issue tracking such IBM Rational DOORS, Polarion, Jama
- Some knowledge of ADAS related commodities would be desirable.
- Knowledge and overview of JLR Toolsets and JLR Ways, release processes, requirement, and issue management (TRM, AIMs, RMDV, CORVUS, ASL, Snapshot). Class 3 (JLR internal process), or equivalent. This previous knowledge would be a super plus and, in any case will be part of the training program.
- Experience in Agile Methodology.
