Allied Pharma Technologies Ltd is a small but growing company based in Valencia, Spain. We are a company representing some of the world’s leading manufacturers of processing and packaging machinery in the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food and other industries.

We are looking for a technical service engineer to contribute towards our growing presence in the pharmaceutical industry and join our exciting team. You will have the opportunity to work within some of the most prodigious pharmaceutical companies within the UK, Ireland and Europe and work alongside some of the biggest equipment manufactures in the world.

Objectives of this role:
The aim of this role is to provide a professional engineering service on site with customers to meet the needs of the business and satisfy customer needs. This role will have a bias towards automatic inspection machines but not limited to it. You will be required to use your wide range of skills with other equipment manufactures across the pharmaceutical industry. You will maintain good customer relations by demonstrating a professional approach to work and you will collaborate with colleagues, to share, build together and meet our goals.

Day to day responsibilities:

- Plan, manage and carry out service engineering, maintenance support, breakdown support and spares support business for existing customers.
- To cultivate a positive rapport with the customer, always demonstrating first class interpersonal skills in a courteous and professional manner.
- Develop and improve automatic inspection programmes for machines to detect foreign bodies and defects in injectable products such as Vials, Cartridges, Ampoules and Syringes.
- To organise and prioritise a continuously changing workload, ensuring that all customers’ calls and enquiries are replied to.
- To problem solve, combining initiative with a practical and logical approach to all aspects of the position.
- Maintain a routine program of customer support / service engineer visits to current customers to service and maintain installed equipment.
- Maintain customer support records for current customers to provide them with a coherent service record for existing machines.
- Develop and maintain strong technical working relationships with the equipment manufacturers.
- Instruction and training skills to provide the customers with equipment and production process training to improve equipment output.
- Produce excel spreadsheets and complete word documents will be required for reports.
- Ensure all H&S procedures are adhered to and Required documentation completed for each visit to customers.
- To assist the team members as and when required/requested.
- To undertake any other duties as and when required, this will include travelling and staying over night to complete work related tasks.

Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- Min 2-5 years' experience in a service engineering role
- Experience within pharmaceutical or life science industry
- An understanding of basic image analysis tools - differences, blob analysis, binarization, erosion & expansion.
- Strong mechanical and basic electrical fault-finding skills
- Self-motivated and ability to work under pressure in a dynamic and changing environment.
- A clear understanding of what a field service role entail.
- Flexible and able to adapt under pressure in a dynamic and changing environment.
- Strong trouble-shooting and analytical skills
- Genuine interest in people and be able to deal with customers in a friendly manner.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical) or Relevant Experience (preferred)
