- **- **What you will be doing**-
- As **Field Service Engineer**, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

- **- Execute field service activities according to work plans
- Perform overhauls and repairs on-site or in workshops
- Professionally engage with customers throughout service delivery
- Provide internal and external updates on job progress
- Create detailed Service Work Reports
- Ensure all work complies with Wärtsilä QEHS guidelines and site procedures
- Report on work order status to customers and internal teams
- Continuously seek smarter, safer, and more efficient solutions.

** To be successful in this role, we expect you to have**:

- A safety-first mindset and a collaborative spirit
- A degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering—or equivalent maritime experience
- Hands-on technical experience in marine engineering and problem-solving
- Proven expertise in installation, operation, maintenance, and repair
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal
- Experience with propulsion shaft alignment and Stern Tube Bearings is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a bonus
- Willingness to travel extensively-
- In this role, some travel might be required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 80%. Some overtime may be required as well.You live and breathe Wärtsilä’s purpose and values
