Companion Animals Area Manager

The **Companion Animals Area Manager **is responsible for leading and managing a team of sales representatives to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth in the companion animals market. This role requires expertise in companion animal products, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the market and customer needs. The CABU Area Manager is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, building and maintaining key customer relationships, and ensuring the team is equipped with the necessary resources and training to succeed.
The person will be responsible for East zone: Cataluña, Comunidad Valenciana, Murcia and Baleares.
**The person must be based in Catalonia (preferably in Barcelona metropolitan area).**
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business objectives and revenue targets in the companion animals market.
- Lead and manage a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, coaching, and support to drive performance and exceed sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including veterinary clinics, pet stores, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct market research and analyze customer needs, industry trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
- Collaborate with various internal departments, such as marketing and product development, to ensure alignment in sales and marketing initiatives.
- Provide input and contribute to product development, pricing strategies, and promotional activities based on customer insights and market trends.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, such as revenue, market share, and customer satisfaction, and take appropriate actions to drive improvement.
- Develop and deliver sales training programs to enhance product knowledge and selling skills of the sales team.
- Stay updated with industry developments, regulatory requirements, and advancements in companion animal products and services.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior management.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, veterinary sciences, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- High level in English is mandatory and Catalan will be desirable.
- 5 years of experience in sales management or vet clinic operations, preferably in the companion animals or veterinary industry.
- In-depth knowledge of companion animal products, including pharmaceuticals, nutrition, and accessories.
- Proven leadership experience and the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain relationships with key customers and distributors.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret market data to drive sales strategies.
- Results-oriented with a track record of exceeding sales targets.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales performance tracking tools.
- Availiability to travel as required to meet with customers and attend industry events.
