**About this Role**

We are seeking a Process and Quality Engineer to join the Process Engineering team in our Operations division. You will lead actions to ensure that Apeel's final products consistently meet product performance targets and deliver maximum value to our customers by implementing, overseeing, monitoring and reporting the whole control process from our operations. This position will be based in the Alicante Region and travel +30% time (domestic and internationally).

**What You'll Do**
- Act as the main point of contact in all matters related to Process and Quality Control for both internal and external stakeholders. Responsible for the implementation, monitoring and control of the Hold Back (sampling) procedure and its data management
- Leads, trains and supports Field teams on equipment set-points, quality walks, holdbacks, and other product quality control measurements and processes
- Responsible for commissioning of new lines and definition, implementation and monitoring of SOPs that ensures consistent methodology and data on the QC and Process Control
- Manages open Customer Quality Complaints/Rejections, Internal Quality Notifications and Process Performance deviations conducting root cause investigations
- Responsible for leading conversations with Suppliers, Retailers, Third Parties and other stakeholders in relation to Produce attributes, QC Methodologies and HB Data. Designs, validates, plans, organizes and runs experiments using Apeel and/or packinghouse produce and equipment (e.g., conveyors, brushes, sprayers, pumps, dryers, etc.) to improve Apeel product performance consistency through the collection and analysis of process data and its results

**What You Bring**:

- BS in Agriculture Engineering, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related STEM field
- 5+ Years of experience in a similar position for related industries (Agrotech, Chemical, Biotech, Food, and other similar)
- Demonstrated ability to work in dynamic multifunctional teams and work under pressure
- Data driven, result oriented, and analytical mindset
- Ability to perform indoor and outdoor work in cold or hot environments and the ability to lift and move boxes of fruit (up to 20 kg)
- Experience with Process Control and implementation of Quality Management Systems for related industries
- Demonstrated organizational ability, high attention to detail, and aptitude for process improvement
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
