As a Vice President Legal & CoSec in the Client Service department, reporting to our Managing Director in Spain, you will collaborate on projects/work closely with a team of experienced and dynamic professionals who provide premium/superior corporate secretarial services to clients worldwide. Y ou will work primarily with fund management companies to provide critical support to the client companies in their corporate investment structures and you will also help them meet the increasing regulatory and compliance requirements that shape the industry.. **_Your Role: _**
- Overall supervision of the designated portfolio of clients ensuring that all client queries and requests are processed and completed in a timely manner, efficiently and qualitatively;
- Fully responsible for all legal and corporate matters for client companies involved in Real Estate serviced by the Corporate Secretarial team;
- Maintain a portfolio of client entities and ensure the entities are kept in good standing and comply with laws and regulations, including any regulatory requirements;
- Communicate with and advise clients, other Citco departments worldwide, legal and tax advisors, notaries, other professionals, and government institutions, among others;
- Deal with local providers in Spain such as Notary’ s officers, tax authorities, registers’ officers and review the relevant drafts prepared by such providers. Also follow up registration and issues with registration of deeds, tax filling and other ancillary actions all in Spanish.
- Process and review of legal documents such as Mercantile Registry certificates, public deeds and/or agreements when the transfer in of a company in order to analyze current situation of the company, possible issues that have not been resolved yet and prepare a corporate file.
- Signal any legal/tax issue of a client transaction and liaise with the client and/or advisor;
- Continuously review and make recommendations for improvements to the existing processes and procedures;
- Proactively initiate and support our marketing and sales efforts by developing a network of professionals and advising existing clients and prospects on (new) products, and attracting new business.
- Stay abreast of industry developments and regulatory changes; develop strategies to translate opportunities for current/prospective clients to enhance relationships;
- Follow changes in law in Spain which may impact service delivery and ensure that international and/or industry specific legal requirements are met;
- Assist in coaching and developing team members for their individual advancement and for the benefit of the team, in so doing, foster and maintain strong team spirit and a healthy working atmosphere;

**_About You: _**
- Strong track record in team management;
- You preferably have a degree in corporate law with at least 6- 8 years relevant experience in a comparable environment;
- Exposure to Real Asset (Real Estate) investment structures is an advantage;
- Risk-oriented yet client serviced approach;
- Experience in drafting and/or reviewing corporate secretarial documents;
- Practical knowledge of Spanish corporate law and regulations;
- Commercial, service-minded, hands-on and have a dynamic attitude and an international mind-set;
- Able to independently manage a client portfolio;
- Knowledge of or prior exposure to KYC and AML procedures is an advantage;
- Experienced in an international environment and can demonstrate flexibility and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to further develop financial, (international) tax and company law knowledge;
- You pride yourself in being responsible, reliable and able to work within a team;
- Results driven and self-motivated.
- Fluent Spanish and English speaker (both verbal and written).Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, )
