**About this opportunity**:
**Your work environment**:
We now have an exciting opportunity for a **Regional Manufacturing Director**, based in one of our European plants, reporting to the VP Operations EMEA.
You will drive continuous improvement plans to improve productivity and support business growth and will pro-actively recommend directions for the future of the organization.
**Your mission in Crown**
1. Deliver the strategic plan and drive continuous improvement across the region in cost control (in particular conversion cost), operational performance, sustainability
2. Manage the operational teams in the region by setting yearly goals, following up and analyzing the KPIs, usages, can weights etc. and benchmark against other plants and regions.
3. Monitor and review implementation of health, safety and environmental standards to ensure compliance, and risk free production for all employees and visitors.
4. Suggest and drive CAPEX projects and technical developments where needed in collaboration with the Production Engineering Department (PED) team, geared towards optimization or expansion for the region (e.g. new lines, line improvements, light-weighting/downgauging). You will also monitor progress in the region of centrally driven CAPEX projects.
5. Ensure timely and accurate preparation and reporting of budgeting and rolling forecast planning cycles.
6. Oversee the PSI process and flag any potential issues
7. Lead, motivate, challenge & develop successful local teams. Monitor and actively manage succession planning at site management level.
8. Guide plants in management of serious complaints or other issues and liaise with other groups in the organization for support where necessary
9. Support HR and where required lead industrial relations matters.
**About you**:
- An industrial or mechanical engineer with more than 12 years of professional experience in manufacturing management in the industrial sector (preferably in the packaging industry).
- A General Management knowledge (across Quality, Logistics and HR fields) and a proven track record of successfully managing and leading teams while delivering challenging KPI’s.
- A strong operational knowledge, with a solid know-how in WCP principles and with robust financial acumen.
- A self-starter, pro-active, and a continuous improvement mind-set.
- A Ethical role model, with robust problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills.
- A fluency in English, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of the business and across different cultures.
