CONCAPE is a specialised personnel consultant. We support a larger company in the region of Eastern Switzerland/Rhine Valley m technological industrial ech. We have been supporting the company continuously since 2019 with selected vacancies as an external specialist in recruitment.

**Place of work/location**: Eastern Switzerland, Rhine Valley

**Purchasing volume Indirects**: Purchasing volume CHF 70 million

**Workload**: 100%

**Home office**: Yes, 2 days if resident in Switzerland, 1 day if abroad in the EU

The company is one of the world leaders in its field.

**Primary objectives of the role**:

- Development and implementation of global category strategies and optimisation of TCO and supplier base
- Management of international projects and derivation and communication of best practices
- Increased efficiency and transparency in processes and guidelines

Tasks

What awaits you?
- Develop and implement short-, medium
- and long-term category strategies for optimal TCO and supply security
- Categories: Services, IT, Packaging
- Representation of own category for indirect material in the global corporate environment
- Responsible for achieving global targets in terms of cost efficiency, supplier optimisation and uncontrolled purchasing reduction
- Forward-looking advice on trends, risks and opportunities in the respective categories
- Function as a business partner for key stakeholders and create value for internal customers
- Active management of supplier relationships in own category, coordinated with category teams in CH, Asia, Europe

**Requirements**:
What do you bring with you?
- At least 5 years of experience in procurement as well as profound knowledge in a globally structured category management
- Professional experience in the indirect purchasing environment / indirect category management and dealing with the associated challenges in change projects
- Strong contract negotiation skills and fluency in business English
- Experience in dealing with procurement systems and electronic tool solutions
