As a **CFIN Finance Master Data Governance (MDG-F) Specialist**, **you will report directly to the CFIN Operations Manager. In this role, you will have responsibility to support the maintenance of the SAP Master Data Governance for Finance system and all related activities to ensure successful replication of finance information from PPG’s source ERPs into SAP Central Finance (CFIN). This position will need to be flexible and work closely with the CFIN project members, the SAP COE, global finance teams, the Global Template team, and PPG ERP superusers to ensure the global integrity of our Common Information Model.
The SAP Central Finance (CFIN) project is transforming the Finance function within PPG. The project team includes PPG Finance and Information Technology (IT) resources, as well as external consultants. We are looking for process driven individuals with a broad variety of business and ERP experiences, and those who have a finance background but are interested in understanding how our IT systems work. Do you have strong communication skills and want to become part of our global transformation?
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop an interim process to periodically review any new or changing finance master data in existing ERPs and determine if they result in a new object within MDG-F.
- Ensure open communication with Global Template implementation team to address any MDG-F needs according to their implementation schedule.
- Maintain mapping tables for Finance Master Data Objects from Source ERPs to CFIN.
- Evaluate MDG-F requests from the business to ensure adherence to the new Common Information Model standards, as well as the necessity for any additions or changes to the existing finance data object list.
- Enter any requests received through Solman into the MDG-F system.
- Construct new MDG-F objects according to global standards for naming and structure.
- Ensure alignment with global finance object owners prior to entering requests for changes to MDG-F objects.
- Follow up with regional and global MDF-F approvers to ensure tickets are resolved and closed.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing for the MDG-F system and support end-user training for ERP Super Users.
- Evaluate errors on CFIN transactions and determine the appropriate resolution or forward on to the appropriate IT team.
- Submit new report requests for CFIN according to business needs, coordinating with the Reporting & Analytics team.
- Update non-finance master data hierarchies as required by the business.
- Submit new requests to SAP COE for new legal entities and trading partners.
- Support the addition of new Finance Master Data resulting from new acquisitions.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent education
- Must be willing to work across time zones when required
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a proactive and results-oriented approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Analytical and technical skills
- Experience in reporting tools is a plus
- Experience in process improvement and SAP is a plus
