**What will you do?**
CtrlChain is looking for a Carrier Manager who will ensure the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods and optimize the transportation process. The Carrier Manager has day to day contact with Shippers and Carriers to arrange transports, align transport needs with capacity and (re)negotiate additional costs.
For active shipments, the Carrier Manager will perform daily quality checks on the orders via the CtrlChain platform, update the CtrlChain platform accordingly and manage potential questions or escalations with customers and carriers. In association with Sales and Customer Success the Carrier Manager starts cooperation with new customers and build a relationship with Shippers Operations.

**Tasks**:
- Developing and growing existing carrier and shipper relationships.
- Properly vetting carriers to ensure high-quality partnerships are being established.
- Arranging and planning carriers for new orders, both recurring and adhoc shipments.
- Ensuring additional costs from transport are positioned and charged to shippers. While negotiating costs down with carriers.
- Recognizing and acting when structural improvements in the carrier database are needed for specific lanes or customers.
- Daily quality checks on active shipments and updating the CtrlChain platform.
- Managing the order flow lifecycle and client shipments, assuring a high level of coverage with timely and accurate communication.
- Managing potential questions, special requirements or escalations with customers and carriers.
- Cooperatively building and maintaining SOP's for all Shipper Lanes.
**Who are you?**
- You have at least a completed educational degree.
- You have at least 1 year of experience in freight forwarding operations, ideally managed courier / FTL.
- You have good knowledge of the road transportation industry.
- You have excellent communication skills in Spanish and English (a must).
- You have knowledge of Office 365.
- You are a problem solver, team player, proactive and innovative.
- You have clear and effective communication.
- You have planning, negotiation and customer orientation skills.
