We are looking for an experienced Cloud Systems Engineer to join our Infrastructure and Operations team in IT. As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at Wefox, you will work with our infrastructure and DevOps teams to develop, implement, optimize, and maintain cloud-based solutions. You will be responsible for deploying and debugging cloud stacks, educating teams on new cloud initiatives, and ensuring the security of the cloud infrastructure. To be successful as a Cloud Systems Engineer within our team, you should be able to identify the most optimal cloud-based solutions for our clients and maintain cloud infrastructures in accordance with best practices and company security policies. But you are also open to actively contribute and take-over responsibilities in adjacent infrastructure areas, e.g. networking, our few on-premise infrastructures, databases or similar.

**In this role you will**:

- Collaborate with engineering and development teams to identify, evaluate and implement optimal cloud solutions
- Design, develop and deploy modular cloud-based systems
- Regularly review existing systems and making recommendations for improvements
- Interact with clients, providing cloud support, and making recommendations based on client needs
- Work side by side with a multidisciplinary and multicultural team distributed among our different offices around Europe
- Design, manage and maintain tools to automate operational processes and implement systems with high availability and scalability
- Actively contribute to other infrastructure initiatives outside cloud engineering core responsibilities
- Closely collaborate with our DevOps teams and constantly evaluate, agree and deliver improvement potentials
- Actively train and share knowledge with your fellow infrastructure and operations, as well as DevOps colleagues to spread skills and experiences in the team in order to increase resilience and capacity

**What you bring**:

- 5+ years of overall IT experience, with 3+ year of relevant experience in the following:

- Cloud providers such AWS, Google Cloud Platform and Mongo Atlas
- Terraform infrastructure deployment and management
- CI/CD pipelines (Github Actions and Jenkins)
- Containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Cloud Governance and definition of Service Control Policies (Cloud Custodian)
- DevOps mindset and experience working with Agile methodologies and technologies like Scrum, Kanban and JIRA
- Experience on code versioning tools like GIT
- Experience on monitoring tools like Zabbix, Grafana and Prometheus
- Networking knowledge and experience in high availability systems
- Experience working with REST APIs and experience in unit/integration/automated testing
- Knowledge of scripting and/or dynamic languages (Ansible/Shell/Python)
- Focus on continuous learning and development, you are constantly screening the market for new technologies and trends, and enjoy evaluating innovations
- Fluency in spoken and written English. German, Spanish or Italian are a plus
- Be a team player with critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Great time-management, interpersonal and communication skills
