Engineering Technician

**Essential Responsibilities**:

- Perform hands-on overhaul, maintenance, installation, testing, and repair of U.S. Navy shipboard gun weapon systems, including:

- MK 45 Mod 2 & 4, 5 inch/54 caliber Light Weight Gun Mount (LWGM).
- MK 38 Mod 2 & 3, 25mm Machine Gun Weapon Systems (GWS).
- Lead maintenance, testing, and repair tasks, ensuring all work adheres to Navy standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with gun weapon systems to maintain operational readiness.
- Collaborate with technicians and engineers to ensure the successful completion of projects.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Within the last ten (10) years, a minimum of four (4) years of full-time hands-on technical experience in the overhaul, maintenance, installation, testing, or repair of U.S. Navy shipboard gun weapon systems.
- At least two (2) years of full-time technician experience leading maintenance, installation, testing, or repair of U.S. Navy shipboard gun weapon systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of MK 45 Mod 2 & 4 and MK 38 Mod 2 & 3 systems.
- Must have an active secret US government clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to maintain a secret clearance.

**Preferred Qualifications (not required)**:

- Magazine Sprinkler Inspector certification.
- Small Arms Inspector certification.
