**Job Description Summary**: Grid Automation offers its customers a complete range of innovative products, systems and services covering design and manufacture, as well as commissioning and long-term maintenance of Substation Protection and Automation solutions.

Grid Automation Technical Applications Engineers (TAE) support the Commercial Team in the co-ordination and execution of all commercial and technical activities relating to the Grid Automation Business in the Region.

**Essential Responsibilities**
- Provision of technical support to internal and external customers on the complete range of Grid Automation Products (focused on Digital Control System, network management, cybersecurity, etc.) both by telephone and face to face meetings. The role will consist of both office-based responsibilities and visits to customer sites.
- Assist the Commercial/Sales organization in ensuring the best technical solution, promotion of products, presentations and assistance during technical negotiations as well as completing formal tenders for Grid Automation products/solutions in line with customer specifications.
- Attendance of trade shows, seminars and conferences as necessary.

**Qualifications/Requirements**
- Degree in Electrical / Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering or Computer Science.
- At least 5 years of experience in a customer facing engineering position
- Cybersecurity experience. In OT environments preferably.
- Advanced Substation Control System Applications Knowledge within Transmission & Distribution segment
- Experience with IEC 61850 based Substation Automation solutions is highly desirable
- Commercial Acumen
- Able to travel both in country and overseas
- Languages - English and Spanish. Portuguese, Italian and Romanian also valuable (duties require writing and verbal communication with customers)
