Global Solutions Architect

**Major Responsibilities**:
- Work with customers to define the technical solution requirements, controls and communication architecture, and project scope that will lead and be an input to a commercial proposal.
- Define and highlight technical requirements and new functionality required for customer projects
- Lead pre-ITO customer engagements on innovation and 1st of a kind projects
- Partner with the DE Innovation Lab, other GE Businesses and DIPG Product Managers to align and promote DIPG Advanced Automation Solutions
- Support Product Managers in developing and defining new requirements for the GridNode and PowerNode solutions
- Build standard templates for quoting and technical work scope packages for our solutions.
- Support Product Managers on developing marketing material
- Provide technical leadership during first of a kind solutions and proof of concepts
- Lead external and GE2GE technical solutions alignment and partnerships on standard controls offerings
- Support the CoE and Commercial teams in responding to RFIs, RFQs, and project handoffs to the execution teams.
- Collaborate with the Product Management team, Services CoE, and R&D teams to understand our capabilities and upcoming features in order to lead customer communications.
**Basic Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
- Experience and knowledge of advanced automation and control methodology and architectures
- Knowledge and experience in the electrical utility and industrial segments.
- Ability to work effectively across functions, regions, and cultures.
- Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills, customer focused, enthusiastic.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required.
**Desired**
- Experience with Microgrids and Renewable Integration
- Ability to relate customers challenges to GE solutions and customer requirements
- Strong knowledge of Grid Automation’s Distribution and Industrial Portfolio
- Strong business acumen and commercial savvy.
- Strong customer service and entrepreneurial mindset
- Strong leadership skills
