The Mission:
As Worldsensing grows, Legal and Compliance aspects gain a greater importance and become more relevant to help the company to act in ways that are consistent with the corporate values. The Inhouse Lawyer will support the Director of Legal and Compliance to systematize, strengthen and enrich the governance activities of the company while providing legal support on a daily basis to all business areas requiring it.
Activities/Responsibilities:With the support of the members of Legal and Compliance department and in close collaboration with external advisors, the main responsibilities of the role will be:
- Collaborating with other internal departments on transversal legal matters (Business, Corporate, Data Protection, Compliance )
- Working closely with all internal departments to assure legal adherence in all activities
- Preparation, negotiation and follow-up of commercial contracts with third parties (providers, customers and stakeholders)
- Identifying risks and propose alternative structures to reduce risks involved in commercial and third-party transactions
- Supporting the Legal & Compliance department with accurate and timely counsel in a variety of legal topics, and clarification on legal specifications
- Updating and improving the corporate legal database and repository
- Performing administrative duties to assist legal operations
- Contributing to the definition and implementation of internal and external Compliance actions.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor degree in Law
- Main interest in commercial and business law
- Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English and Spanish
- Advanced user of MS Office (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- (Desired) Previous experience in the technological sector.
- (Desired) A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position
