Back Office Intern

At Kantox we are looking for an intern to join the Back Office team within our Operations (Ops) department. The intern will support the daily operations of our Back Office Specialists by: - Linking incoming funds with orders - Issuing outgoing payments - Preparing payment instructions - Linking returned payments - Handling compliance system rejected payments - MT103 requests - Preparing internal transfers - Monitoring Zendesk tickets - Daily reconciliation of client accounts **About the team** The Operations (Ops) Team is core to the functioning of Kantox - it is at the centre of daily FX trading and payment operations, as well as client transactional support interactions. If you like a growth opportunity in a dynamic environment and look forward to challenging yourself, keep reading **Back Office (Ops) mission within Kantox** - Processing incoming and outgoing transactions, performing daily reconciliations of our accounts, ensuring payments are transmitted on required deadlines. - Assisting with bank enquiries and working closely with our bank partners to resolve settlement queries and other banking issues. - Working with our customer support team to resolve payment related issues, as well as reconciling accounts at the end of the day. - Collaborating with other departments such as our Technology team on automation initiatives and process improvements. - Maintaining organised records and compiling data to assist in ad-hoc reporting requests. - Supporting ad hoc finance projects. **The Back Office (Ops) team interacts with the following departments**: - Middle Office (Ops) - Finance - Compliance & Risk - Technology **Who you are** - A relevant Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or similar. - General interest and enthusiasm for financial markets. - A level of understanding of FX basics (swap points, forwards). - Foundational knowledge of banking instruments and procedures. - Experience with MS Excel is considered a plus. **Furthermore, we are looking for the following attributes**: - Fluent English language skills; Spanish is considered a plus. - Ability to work in a team. - Ability to work accurately to deadlines, managing multiple tasks and prioritising deliverables. - Critical thinker, with strong attention to detail and analytical skills. - Good communication and organisational skills. - Proactive and self-starting approach. - Result and quality oriented. **Our Culture** - An environment of innovation, accountability, and constructive feedback. - A diverse and multicultural team made up of over 40 different nationalities. - Grow your role and build your career with our learning and development opportunities. - A collaborative, inclusive culture of sharing and teamwork.
