This is a fantastic opportunity to start your career in an international sales environment. We support the largest trade shows and events around the world, and you will play a key role in managing the sale of refrigeration and catering equipment in the European and Middle East rental market.
**The Role**:
To work with the Project Hire Consultant and alongside the existing sales team to plan and deliver complex catering facilities across a wide spectrum of industries and business sectors.
Specifically, this role will include:
- Developing new enquiries and opportunities in a consultative manner, received from a variety of sources including key project stakeholders, new and existing customers, Key Accounts and the wider Sales Team.
- Dealing with a variety of requirements ranging from urgent and fast moving to lengthy and methodical.
- Proactively developing target sectors including networking and other business development activity.
- Closing high value contracts to achieve the maximum revenue for the business whilst maintaining Lowe & PKL’s outstanding reputation.
- Understanding and mitigating risks of both a commercial and technical nature, using all available resources within the business to find a suitable solution and secure the revenue.
- Build lasting relationships with key stakeholders within various public and private organisations to ensure the success of a project and increase the likelihood of future opportunities.
- Make effective use of the internal CRM system in order to track and develop opportunities effectively.
- To manage a pipeline and accurately forecast future business including weekly reporting to the Commercial Director.
- Work to KPIs (activity and performance) to achieve personal and team objectives.
**Essential Skills and Experience**:
- Demonstrable sales experience of developing opportunities and converting them into tangible business wins.
- A consultative approach to selling with a proven track record of closing high value projects.
- Able to prioritise and manage own workload.
- Excellent all round communication skills (verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation) - needed for communicating with a range of people on all levels of the business, both internally and externally.
- Ability to build and maintain successful relationships with our existing and potential new customers.
- Driven to achieve and exceed targets
- A positive” can-do” attitude with an eye for an opportunity where others may not see one.
- The ability to think strategically and problem solve
- An eye for detail, a desire to ‘get it right first time’ and think outside the box to find a solution.
- Experience within a targeted and driven technical sales role
- Ability to work across multiple industry sectors
- Previous experience with CRM systems is desirable
