The team is made up of data and analytics professionals who work with customers to solve their business problems with Tableau’s world leading analytics platform.
We are looking for a Lead Solution Engineer to join our team of data hard workers. This individual will play a pivotal role in supporting our customers’ and our sales teams’ success by providing technical expertise in the field of data, business intelligence, predictive analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI).
**Responsibilities**:
- Engage customers and collaborate with account teams to understand their needs with respect to how data and analytics can help the customer’s business succeed and transform, and how customers can build a data culture.
- Demonstrate how Tableau solutions are a key piece for the success of Data + AI needs for our customers, understanding the value added to Data Cloud and Agentforce scenarios.
- Demonstrate how Tableau’s platform and Salesforce Analytics solutions help the customer drive value through guided evaluations and building tailored platform/solution demonstrations.
- Conduct workshops for customers to understand the Tableau platform and drive adoption across multiple groups and stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted advisor to our customers, guiding them on best practices, and informing their data and analytics strategies.
- Develop and sustain expert level knowledge of all aspects of the Tableau Platform, including data strategy, data integration, data visualization, analytics, governance, architecture, security, and scalability.
- Lead technical responses to RFPs and RFIs.
- Work closely with product management teams to stay updated on our latest developments and provide feedback from the field.
- Create reusable assets that act as a force-multiplier for the extended teams.
**Required Qualifications**:
- 6-10 years of hands-on experience in business intelligence, data integration, analytics, data warehouses/lakes, or related technologies.
- Solid data and analytics problem solving skills.
- Solid background in at least one BI platform (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, etc.).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Confirmed ability to build relationships with key partners and customers.
- Degree or equivalent proven experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core proficiencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.).
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish
- Proficiency in Portuguese is well appreciated.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Familiarity with predictive analytics and AI, especially machine learning.
- Solid understanding of data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks; ML platforms such as Azure ML, Amazon SageMaker, Google Vertex, etc; as well as R and/or Python.
