Multinational Senior Case Handler

The Opportunity:

As a Senior Case Handler within the Multinational Client Centre (MCC), you will effectively co-ordinate multinational insurance programmes through their full lifecycle (quote, bind, policy administration, cashflow management). You will work closely with our underwriting teams in Spain and our Global Network offices around the world. The role is dynamic and fast-paced, providing daily variety, with excellent opportunities to share and extend your Multinational insurance knowledge.

This role is located in Spain but part of the team which is primarily UK-based. It is a great and high-profile opportunity to embed a new way of working in support of QBE’s fast-growing Multinational portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Continuous work with Producing Office Underwriters to support the implementation and management of complex/service intensive compliant Multinational insurance programmes throughout the Multinational lifecycle process.
- Work closely with other areas of the business, including Credit Control and Global Network Managers
- Work proactively with brokers in Spain to ensure the smooth operation of Multinational programmes, plus support Spanish underwriters in new business pitches and the onboarding of new programmes.
- Prepare, collate, and communicate new and renewal programme information, handle mid-term changes to ensure delivery of key programme stages and co-ordinate/ manage local underwriting input and policy servicing.
- Provide detailed information to Underwriters to advise on local servicing costs, taxes, tariffs, retentions, etc. to enable adequate pricing.
- Handle local payments and central collections and to ensure the overall cash position is properly managed.
- Work with Client Managers to ensure they are kept up to date and any issues and queries are escalated/resolved in a timely manner.
- Generate ideas for continuous improvement of the Multinational lifecycle process, including a focus on interactions between the MCC and the Spain producing office, and support projects in this regard where opportunities arise.
- Act as a buddy to less experienced colleagues, providing coaching and mentoring to increase capability and to share knowledge and best practice.
- Act as an ambassador for the MCC in Spain and build close relationships with the Spanish underwriting team to ensure that best practice processes are adhered to.

To succeed in the role, you will have:

- Ability to implement standards and regulations that govern the multinational insurance programmes.
- Clear team player with an ability to develop and maintain good internal and external relationships across a global business.
- Good collaboration skills along with excellent verbal and written communications
- Ability to adhere to Service Standards, regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Ability to produce detailed reports at various levels with high-level problem-solving skills
- Analytical insight (ability to extrapolate from limited or complex data)
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, to be flexible, multi-task, organise and prioritise own workload.
- Fluent Spanish speaker with the ability to converse in English at a sufficient business level

Ideally, you will have:

- Experience in servicing Multinational insurance Programmes
- An in depth understanding of the regulatory and legal aspects of territorial insurance covers.
- An understanding of best practice methodologies
- An understanding of compliance processes
- Knowledge of policy wordings, credit terms, taxes to be paid.
- A good understanding of credit control function
- Familiarity with the Spanish insurance market
